My name is Richard Hurt and I am running for Aliso Viejo City Council to help provide forward thinking policy that ensures the safety, long-term financial stability, and economic growth for our residents. This campaign is all about the residents of Aliso Viejo.

I earned a B.S. in Accounting and an MBA in Management from California Baptist University. I started my career working for the Riverside Economic Development Agency and advanced to the Riverside Sheriff’s Department. Working in these two agencies awarded me with first hand experience improving the lives of residents, working to balance budgets, and working with contracted cities to provide safety.

I moved to beautiful Aliso Viejo over five years ago. Since then I have served in numerous capacities including President of the Board for the Friends of Aliso Viejo, a coach, mentor, and a volunteer at Don Juan Avila. I am proud to be a resident of this city and I will focus on you!

All of my experiences have shaped the person I am and the values I believe in. I am the oldest of two brothers and a sister. My mother was a single parent who showed us the importance of education, hard-work, accountability, and serving others. I believe in the potential of our city and that is why I am running for Aliso Viejo City Council.

My wife and I love this city and we are excited about our future in Aliso Viejo. Get in touch with us today! We need volunteers, donations, and your vote in 2020.
